Forensic Accreditation

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation Forensic Services' five laboratories are accredited by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). Accreditation is based on ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 standard and the ANAB 17025:2017 Forensic Science Testing and Calibration Accreditation Requirments.

Additionally the DNA casework sections are inspected to the FBI's Quality Assurance Standards for DNA Casework Laboratories (2011). The DNA database section is inspected to the FBI's Quality Assurance Standards for DNA Databasing Laboratories (2011).
